Native American Blanket
Drive
More than 15,000 Native Americans
from tribes around the country gather each year for the Crow Fair pow
wow. We will be at Crow Fair passing out blankets to the Native
Americans. The blanket has been part of their tradition and is
valued greatly. Crow Fair is in the valley of the Little Big Horn,
near the site of the battlefield where General Custer was defeated by
Sitting Bull.
The Native Americans today face
enemies such as unemployment, alcoholism, hopelessness and poverty.
We are going to offer an opened hand to the Crow people - a hand of
friendship and service. God's heart of love for the people.
